Doors give plenty of warning. The trick is knowing which sound maps to which part.
A single loud bang, then nothing
That is a torsion spring, and the door will now be extremely heavy. Stop using the opener.
Grinding or scraping
Rollers or bearings. Cheap now, and it is what wears the track if left.
Popping on the way up
Usually hinges or a section flexing. Worth looking at before it becomes a bent panel.
